LOUTH
We recently visited a private customer in Louth to transform their tennis court. This client had taken excellent care of their tennis court, but wanted to refresh the colour and chose a great colour combination of green and purple. We applied our popular resin binder, which is a key step to ensure the paint adheres properly and lasts longer. This is particularly important for older tarmac that’s been exposed to the varying weather we get in the UK. As a reminder, even well maintained courts benefit from this added layer of protection, helping to extend the life of the surface and reduce future wear. We would be happy to discuss how binder can help your tennis courts longevity so give us a call for a free quote.
We then sprayed on two coats of anti-slip, industry grade sports surface paint. This paint is specifically designed to improve grip and reduce the risk of slips. Finally, we marked out the tennis court lines to regulation standards, using our Line Laser machine to ensure crisp, bright white lines that stand out beautifully against the refreshed surface.

The painting season is almost over! We have visited so many clients this year and we always love transforming their tennis courts. We don’t write about all our projects on our website and social media, but we wanted to say a huge thank you to all our customers who have had their sports surfaces repainted this year. With the weather cooling down, we may still be able to paint on those sunny autumnal days, but if we can’t get to you this year because of the British weather, we are looking forward to seeing you in the 2026 painting season! Saying that, we still operate over the winter to deep clean sport surfaces and provide maintenance from general tidy ups to full rejuvenation of artificial sports surfaces. Contact us if you’d like to take advantage of our winter offers.
NORFOLK
This summer, we have visited beautiful Norfolk twice to work with some great clients, bringing fresh colour, improved safety and long lasting durability to their sports surfaces. Our first visit took us to a caravan park in North Norfolk. The tennis court had seen plenty of action and was in need of a deep clean. Using our trusted whirl-away and vortex nozzle lance method, we removed layers of built up dirt, moss, and grime to restore the surface. Once dry, we applied a resin binder to strengthen the base and ensure the longevity of the paint finish. The clients chose the classic all dark green paint with bright white tennis court lines. A timeless look that’s both functional and stylish!
To add versatility for residents, we also marked out pickleball lines in blue, creating a multi use court that caters to growing demand. We are finding more and more that communities and clubs are adding pickleball line markings this year – why not try this addition to your tennis court?

We also visited a private court owners property, who had recently had their tennis court tarmac laid. As this was a new surface, it didn’t require a deep clean, so we started by applying a layer of resin binder to help the longevity of the tennis court. We then applied two layers of our anti-slip, industry grade sports surface paint. Our clients opted for a two-tone green with white lines. We marked out the tennis court line markings to industry standard and used our Line Laser machine to ensure fresh, crisp, bright white lines.
Whether you’re managing a caravan park, a schools sport facilities, a community tennis court, a tennis club, or have a private court at home, we offer solutions for sports surface cleaning, painting, line marking, and pickleball integration. Our experienced team ensures every surface is safe, durable, and visually impressive. Contact us today to discuss how we can help you.

BAKEWELL
We recently went to St Anselm’s school in Bakewell to take on the task of rejuvenating their large MUGA sports surface and installing 6 new netball posts and 6 separate sockets for netball post storage. As you can see from the photos, this surface was ready to be completely transformed and that is what Clean Courts delivered! When we arrived, we got to work with digging the 12 holes for the netball posts. 6 holes were measured out on to the netball courts and we dug a further 6 holes at the corner of the MUGA for storage whilst the students weren’t using the netball facilities. Once again, the team were faced with thick layers of limestone but after our efforts in Kendal, we were up for the task!
Once the groundworks were complete, we cleaned the surface with our vortex nozzle lance and after it had dried, we moved on to our binding and painting process. We always use the highest quality, tested paints but that will help prevent slips and falls. When the paint had dried, we marked out and line marked three tennis courts and three netball courts. We also cemented over the tops of the new netball post sockets for a smooth, safe finish. Take a look at the photos below to see just how well this project turned out. We are sure the students are going to love their new sports surface when they start school again soon. A big thank you to the staff at the school for their warm hospitality throughout this project.
We have worked at hundreds of schools over the last 20 years and we pride ourselves on delivering the highest of standards for our customers. If your school sports surfaces need a bit of TLC or a complete makeover, please get in touch.

SCOTLAND TENNIS COURT REJUVENATIONS
Each year, we head north to bonny Scotland to carry out professional sports surface restorations. We had the pleasure of working with two fantastic clients to breathe new life into their courts.
Our first stop was a private tennis court owner, where we delivered a full tennis court deep clean and moss treatment. Using our trusted whirl-away method followed by a vortex nozzle lance, we removed surface debris that had built up over time. The transformation was striking, and as always, we will let the results speak for themselves. We work on hundreds of courts a year and regardless of the condition, we are here for you to bring life back to your tennis court.

Next, we visited Turriff Tennis Club, a return trip following last year’s site visit. The club’s three courts, used regularly by the local community, were in need of some TLC. We carried out a thorough deep clean, eliminating moss, algae, and built up debris. To enhance durability and extend the life of the courts, we applied a resin binder (which has been very popular with clients this year!) followed by two coats of anti-slip, industry grade sports surface paint. This not only improved grip but also reduced the risk of slips and falls. We then used our Line Laser machine to mark out crisp, white tennis court lines.
Turriff Tennis Club also chose to expand their offering by adding a pickleball court line markings, which we marked out in blue. The feedback from the club and its members was overwhelmingly positive, and we’re excited to continue supporting their facilities in the future.
If you’re located in Scotland and your tennis, netball, hockey or pickleball courts (or any other court!) need a refresh, we’re here to help. Our tailored sports surface cleaning and painting services are designed to restore performance, safety, and visual appeal. Contact us today for your free quote.

KENDAL (PART TWO!)
Earlier this summer, we visited Kendal to bind and paint a tennis court for a private client. After seeing the results, the owner asked if we could return to replace their chain link fencing and tidy up the surrounding tarmac edging. Naturally, we said yes, and our team headed back to Kendal to complete the transformation.
We began by dismantling the old chain link fence and preparing the ground for new posts. The Kendal terrain threw us a curveball with layers of limestone, but our team powered through using breakers, grabbers, and a lot of elbow grease! By the end of the day, we had dug multiple post holes and were ready to install the new fencing.
The client opted for a dark green chain link fence, which complemented the freshly painted court beautifully. We also sorted out the worn and crumbling tarmac edging around the court. Our team removed the damaged sections and added haunching to reinforce the edges and create a seamless border. Combined with the recent surface painting, the entire playing area now looks refreshed and ready for action.
In addition to fencing and surface painting, we regularly install posts and perimeter fencing for tennis, netball, basketball, and MUGA courts across the UK. Whether you’re upgrading a private court or enhancing a school or community sports facility, we can help! Contact us today for your free quote.

HERTFORD
We visited a beautiful private tennis court in Hertford a few weeks ago. The surface wasn’t new, but thanks to the owner’s maintenance, it was in great condition. We began by applying a resin binder to the surface. This step is key to ensuring the paint adheres properly and lasts longer, especially on older tarmac that’s been exposed to the elements. Even well maintained courts benefit from this added layer of protection, helping to extend the life of the surface and reduce future wear.
The client opted for a two-tone green colour scheme, dark green for the outer area and a lighter green for the playing area. We applied two coats of anti-slip, industry grade sports surface paint, designed to improve grip and reduce the risk of slips and falls. To complete the transformation, we marked out the tennis court lines to regulation standards, using our Line Laser machine to ensure crisp, bright white lines that stand out beautifully against the green surface.
Whether your court is brand new or simply in need of a refresh, we are here for all your sports surface cleaning, painting, binding, and line marking needs.

EAST STAFFORDSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL
East Staffordshire Borough Council recently contacted us with the task of breathing new life into three of their outdoor community sports surfaces. Two tennis courts and one basketball court were in need of a refresh, and we brought our a-game! We enjoyed making sure these spaces were ready to serve (no pun intended!) the community.
We started by thoroughly deep cleaning each surface, removing layers of grime, moss, and weather impact that had built up over time. This step, and the further binding and painting steps support creating a safe, playable surface that performs well and lasts longer. Once the courts were deep cleaned, we moved on to binding and then painting with two coats of our professional anti-slip paint. The final touch was line marking, done with accuracy and attention to detail to ensure each court meets the standards for play.
These courts are now ready to host matches, practices, and games that all of the local community can enjoy. We have worked with several local councils over the years, so if you would like to discuss how Clean Courts can improve your community sports surfaces, please contact us!

ASHBY-DE-LA-ZOUCH
Recently, we had the pleasure of transforming the pickleball court in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, giving it a complete refresh that will serve local players for years to come.
Pickleball has been growing in popularity, and a well-maintained court makes all the difference in the playing experience. This court had seen better days, so we started with a deep clean to remove dirt, grime, and surface build-up. We then applied a red and green repaint, creating an eye catching contrast that enhances visibility and aesthetics.
To ensure the court was fully functional, we applied precise pickleball lines, giving players a clear and space to enjoy their game. The back wall was also repainted, tying the entire court together and adding that final touch. We also repaired their broken fencing around the court, all this work was completed in just 2 days.
A great-looking court is one thing, but safety is just as crucial. That’s why we always use industry grade paint, which is anti-slip, improving grip and minimising the risk of slips and falls.
Seeing this court transformed was incredibly rewarding, and we loved contributing to the community’s enjoyment of the game.
If your sports surface needs professional maintenance, contact us today, we’re passionate about restoring courts to their best condition, ensuring they are safe, durable, and looking their best.

DONCASTER
Some projects are more than just a refresh—they’re about preserving memories and making new ones. We recently had the honour of reviving a private court that hadn’t been painted in an incredible 37 years!
The owners had cared for their court beautifully over the decades, but they wanted to bring back its original vibrance with its original green and red colour scheme. To ensure longevity and ease of maintenance, we applied a binder, extending the lifespan of the surface and making it a true game changer for durability. We refreshed the lines and now it is back to its former glory and safe for play.
What made this project extra special? The owners had planned a surprise for their grandchildren—who had never seen the court in its original glory! Knowing that our work would be part of such a meaningful moment made this restoration all the more rewarding.

OXFORD & READING
We’ve been busy transforming outdoor sports courts, ensuring they are safe, clean, and ready for play.
In Oxford, we tackled a cracked court that needed a fresh start. After a thorough clean removing all the moss build up, we removed old tarmac in worn areas, using precision angle grinding to prep the surface. We then refilled these sections with fresh tarmac, creating a smoother and safer playing space. Once the surface was restored, we painted the court with non-slip paint, installed a brand-new basketball system, and added fresh line markings for both tennis and basketball—bringing new life to the space!
Over in Reading, we returned to a valued repeat customer who needed a deep clean for their moss-covered court. Using our whirl-away method, we efficiently lifted stubborn moss before lancing it off, revealing a pristine surface underneath.
Both jobs were completed in just three days, delivering refreshed, high-quality courts ready for action. If your court needs expert attention, get in touch—we’re here to help!

LEIGHTON BROMSWOLD
Keeping artificial sports surfaces in top condition is essential for longevity, performance, and player safety. Our latest MUGA rejuvenation project in Leighton Bromswold focused on transforming a well-used artificial surface into a fresh, high-performing court ready for years of play.
Over time, sand, moss, and dirt build-up can significantly impact an artificial sports surface. To restore this MUGA to peak condition, our team utilised our whirlaway method to lift out deeply embedded contaminants, reviving the surface and improving drainage.
Once cleared, the court underwent a thorough power brushing process, where multiple passes ensured every fibre in the carpet was decompacted. To complete the transformation, we applied sports-grade sand, crucial for maintaining the surface’s integrity, enhancing grip, and supporting long-lasting playability. This careful resurfacing ensures a clean, stable, and well-maintained MUGA that can handle regular use while minimising future maintenance needs.
With the rejuvenation complete, this artificial MUGA is now revitalised, offering a safe and high-quality playing surface for the local community to enjoy.
Maintaining artificial sports courts with expert restoration not only extends the lifespan of the surface but also keeps play environments safe, smooth, and durable for years to come.

SPALDING
Over time, acrylic sports courts can accumulate surface debris, moss, and algae, affecting both playability and visual appeal. Our recent court rejuvenation project in Spalding focused on fully restoring a weathered acrylic surface, bringing it back to its brand new condition.
Using our whirlaway method, we effectively removed embedded dirt, moss, and algae, ensuring a thorough deep clean. This high-powered cleaning system is designed to revive hard courts and acrylic sports surfaces, removing contaminants without causing damage.
Following this, our team meticulously treated and power brushed the surface, ensuring optimal grip, smoothness, and enhanced durability for long-term performance.
These courts were particularly dirty, with years of built-up debris. However, after our rejuvenation process, the transformation was remarkable! The surface looked brand new and was once again ready for high quality play.
Whether it’s a tennis court, netball surface, basketball surface, or multi-sport facility, regular deep cleaning and professional restoration extend the lifespan of acrylic courts, keeping them safe, smooth, and visually pleasing.

WELBOURN PARISH COUNCIL
Our recent work for Welbourn Parish Council is a great example of how you can completely transform a tennis court! Their community tennis court was in need of some much deserved TLC, and we were proud to step in and help restore its full potential.
We began by deep cleaning the entire court surface, removing dirt, moss, and debris to create the ideal foundation. As always, we used our whirl-away method followed by a vortex nozzle lance to make sure we removed all the surface debris ready for binding and painting. We then applied a vibrant blue and green colour coating, transforming the space into a refreshed, eye catching tennis court that the whole community can enjoy. This means the local community can enjoy court that doesn’t just play better, but is safer!

KENDAL
The owner of a worn private tennis court reached out to us for help in bringing it back to life. We were thrilled to provide a complete transformation, from a tired surface to a durable playing area ready for more years of use.
Our team began with applying our popular resin binder, a crucial step in reinforcing the structure of the aging surface. This transparent adhesive penetrates deep into the tarmac, strengthening the base, improving drainage, and preventing further deterioration. It also provides the ideal foundation for the next phase of colour coating.
Thanks to the binder, our vibrant finish adhered beautifully, creating a smooth, long lasting, and visually appealing court. The transformation didn’t just improve appearance, it added safety, performance, and longevity.
Whether you have a private court, school facility, or community sports space, we can help you breathe new life into your surface. From cleaning and binding to line marking and colour coating, we handle it all, indoors and out. Contact us today to discuss how we can transform your tennis court!
